The Beauty of Portland

We started out today with a hike to Multnomah Falls. We brought the dogs with us since this IS adventures with George and Jane. It was a little nerve-racking. We have taken them on several trails before but this was CROWDED! We even debated just going home but decided to give it a shot. They actually did pretty well despite the crowds and the few dogs we passed on the trail. The scary part is that the trails were very narrow and slippery. Going off the trail meant going down a cliff. Jane and I walked a bit ahead to scout the trail for other dogs. That gave Daniel enough time to find a slightly wider part of the trail to get braced with George and assume their position. Daniel sticks George's head between his legs and pets him so he doesn't see the dog passing behind him. As long as Jane doesn't bark, all is well in the world. Jane is generally  good so we had a fairly uneventful hike despite the moments of anxiety. We didn't have much time to take pictures with both dogs, but in this case I can definitely say that quality trumps quantity.

Victory pic! We made it!

Since today was all about nature, our next stop was the International Rose Test Garden. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Our final stop of the day was the Japanese Garden. It was quite large and even 30 minutes there felt like you were transported into a different world.

We would like to thank Voodoo Doughnuts for supplying the every needed to capture the beauty of Portland today. We still have 2.5 left if you are wondering!
